From 1996 to 2006, she worked as a European Project Officer in the « Assemblée Permanente des Chambres de métiers et de l’Artisanat » (APCMA), the French national organisation representing the craft sector.
From 2007 to 2017, she was the European project and International relations Manager in the Paris region high-tech cluster « Opticsvalley », which is the network of industrial, scientific and higher education players in optics, electronics and software engineering.
During 11 years, she was in charge of the administrative and financial management of European projects of the cluster and of the coordination of consortia (from 5 to 15 European partners).
She also represented Opticsvalley’s members abroad : participation in international exhibitions, organisation of company missions abroad to foster European business & technological partnerships, and represented the cluster in local and national committees dealing with export issues.
Fiona has also been involved in training engineering in the last years, as she launched in 2010 the 1st partnership between Opticsvalley and HEC Executive Education (setting-up of bespoke training courses for SME managers members of the cluster), and developed a European directory on initial and vocational training in the field of optics and photonics, within the framework of the « Photonics4all » EU project.
Fiona is now an International Partnerships Manager at Université Paris-Sud (management of International agreements and welcome of foreign delegations).
